Melinda S.
Chambers, DVM
Dr.
Melinda Chambers was raised in Lyons, Kansas and completed an
undergraduate degree at Southwestern College in Winfield. She
received her DVM from Colorado State University and practiced in
Denver for several years before returning to Kansas. Dr. Chambers
has special interests in feline medicine, emergency medicine,
laparoscopy, surgery and geriatric patient care. She and her
husband Glenn live in Hutchinson with Justin
the Doberman, Rascal the Terrier and Petey and Bo Bo, orphaned FIV positive
cats. |

Lindsay Rockenbach, DVM
Lindsay Rockenbach, DVM, grew up in Coldwater, Kansas. She received both her undergraduate and DVM degrees from Oklahoma State University. She has practiced mixed animal medicine (horses, cattle, dogs, and cats) since graduation. Dr. Rockenbach lives in Preston with her husband, Brandon and son Rylan. She spends her free time helping take care of their cattle, horses, dogs, and cats. |

Holly Smith,
DVM
Dr. Holly Smith grew up
in the suburbs of Oklahoma City driving her parents crazy with her
contigency of dogs, cats, rabbits, and 3 horses. She graduated from
Oklahoma State University in 1992 with a BS in Animal Science and
DVM in 1995. Following graduation and a move to Kansas, Dr. Smith
joined a mixed animal practice in the Reno/McPherson county area.
Gradually the scope of her practice focus has changed to small
animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. She currently resides on
the family farm outside of Windom where she still gets to practice
food animal medicine. Dr. Smith together with her husband, a fifth
generation Kansas farmer/rancher operate S & S Farms. They
raise registered and commercial Polled Hereford seed stock cattle,
wheat, alfalfa, finished beef and most importantly their 3
children. |

Randy Scheuermann, DVM Dr. Randy Scheuermann grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas and graduated from Hutchinson High School. An early interest in animals led to pursuing veterinary medicine at the KSU College of Veterinary Medicine and graduating in 1988. His interests are in general medicine and surgery for small animals with emphasis on preventive care. He and his wife Vicki have two sons, Josh and Matt. Both sons are in high school and are involved in swimming and baseball. His hobbies include fishing, hunting and coaching baseball for the Cal Ripken Baseball program. Other family members are three Golden Retrievers named Abby, Dodge, Rusty and a cat named Chloe. |

Dr. Upshaw graduated from Kansas State University in 2006. He has a strong interest in public health and is active on the local emergency planning committee, the volunteer veterinary corps of Kansas, the state animal response team and the national animal health emergency response corps as well as the Kansas Veterinary Medicine Association. Dr. Upshaw is pleased to be a part of the CKVC team and to have the opportunity to provide round the clock care for critical and emergency patients as well as routine medical care with an excellent support staff. He lives in McPherson with his wife Jan and two dogs, Deedee, a blue heeler mix, and Emma, a miniature dachshund. Prior to returning to school for veterinary medicine Dr. Upshaw was a biologist in Manhattan and he originally hails from Salina. In his spare time he is an officer in the United States Army Reserve and enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, and photography. |
