Melinda S. Chambers, DVM

Dr. Melinda Chambers was raised in Lyons, KS and completed an undergraduate degree at Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Colorado State University and practiced in Denver for several years before returning to Kansas. Dr. Chambers has special interests in feline medicine, emergency medicine, laparoscopy, surgery and geriatric patient care. She and her husband, Glenn, live in Hutchinson with Justin the Doberman, Rascal the Terrier and Petey and Bo Bo, orphaned FIV positive cats.


Lindsay Rockenbach, DVM

Dr. Lindsay Rockenbach, grew up in Coldwater, KS. She received both her undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Oklahoma State University. She has practiced mixed animal medicine (horses, cattle, dogs, and cats) since graduation. Dr. Rockenbach lives in Preston with her husband, Brandon and son Rylan. She spends her free time helping take care of their cattle, horses, dogs, and cats.


C.W. Seitz, DVM

Dr. C.W. Seitz served internships with the Midwest Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Omaha, NE; the Nebraska Humane Society, Omaha; and the Olathe Animal Hospital in Olathe, KS. Dr. Seitz is a 2010 graduate of the Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine, Manhattan. He earned his master's degree in business administration from Kansas State University in 2005. Dr. Seitz has a best, four-legged friend who is a boxer called Deuce. His wife, Ruthie, is looking forward to move from Manhattan to Hutchinson and become an active member of the community.


Holly Smith, DVM

Dr. Holly Smith grew up in the suburbs of Oklahoma City driving her parents crazy with her contigency of dogs, cats, rabbits, and 3 horses. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science deg ree in animal science and DVM in 1995. Following graduation and a move to Kansas, Dr. Smith joined a mixed animal practice in the Reno/McPherson county area. Gradually the scope of her practice focus has changed to small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. She resides on the family farm outside of Windom where she still gets to practice food animal medicine. Dr. Smith together with her husband, a fifth-generation Kansas farmer/rancher operate S & S Farms. They raise registered and commercial Polled Hereford seed stock cattle, wheat, alfalfa, finished beef and most importantly their three children.


Rick Upshaw, DVM

Dr. Rick Upshaw, a 2006 graduate of Kansas State University, has a strong interest in public health and disaster/emergency response. He is active on the local emergency planning committee, the volunteer veterinary response corps of Kansas, the Kansas State Animal Response Team and the National Animal Health Emergency Response Corps. Dr. Upshaw has a special interest in nutrition and dietary related conditions.  Dr. Upshaw is the South Central representative for the Kansas Veterinary Medicine Association. He is  pleased to be a part of the CKVC team and to have the opportunity to provide round-the-clock care for critical and emergency patients as well as routine medical care with an excellent support staff. Dr. Upshaw lives in McPherson with his wife, Jan, and their miniature dachshund, Emma. Dr Upshaw hails from Salina and prior to going back to school for veterinary medicine he was a biologist in the Manhattan/Fort Riley area. He has served in the military for 21 years, most recently in the US Army Reserve. In his spare time, Dr. Upshaw enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, and photography.
