  • Twenty-Four Hour Care:  We have trained veterinary staff on duty at all times, every day and night, including weekends and holidays. Our 24-hour staffing means that your hospitalized pet is never alone. Being on-site to care for your pet means that medications are given on time, IV fluid therapy is administered correctly, patients stay clean and dry, pets receive extra TLC and any change in condition is recognized immediately.
  • Diagnostic Capabilities:Our diagnostic capabilities include ultrasonogrophy, endoscopy, blood pressure monitoring, electrocardiography, a complete on-site laboratory, and radiograph capability, which can accommodate even the largest dogs.
  • Anesthesia: We use the safest available anesthetics and are able to safely anesthetize even geriatric and high-risk patients if necessary. A veterinary nurse monitors blood pressure, ECG, oxygenation and other vital signs during each surgical procedure. Pain control is provided for all patients.
  • Surgical Services:We adhere to the highest standards for all surgical procedures. Dr. Holly Smith and Dr. Randy Scheuermann both have experience in orthopedic surgery.
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery: Our laparoscopic and thoracoscopic capability allows us to perform many surgical procedures with smalll incisions and minimal post-operative pain.
  • Dentistry: Dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, extractions and oral surgery.
  • Pharmacy:We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, prescription diets, and heartworm and flea prevention products. We can also provide at-home delivery for many medications and foods.
  • Animal Blood Bank: We maintain a blood bank of canine and feline blood products-both whole blood and plasma. Patients requiring emergency transfusions can be treated immediately at any time, day or night. Blood donors are carefully screened to ensure safe and compatible transfusions.
  • Ultrasound Services: This diagnostic tool is a noninvasive method for evaluating internal organs and is especially helpful in diagnosing diseases of the liver, spleen, kidneys, adrenal glands and bladder.
  • Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage and for various disease conditions.
  • Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction problem behaviors and suggestions for helping puppies and kittens grow into happy and well-behaved citizens.
  • Regenerative Stem Cell Therapy: Dr. Holly Smith is certified in Stem Cell Therapy. This healing therapy has been shown to regenerate healthy tissue, improve quality of life and signal to the animals own healing cells, calling additional cells to the injury site for improved healing.
  • Acupuncture:Acupuncture is helpful in treating a variety of disorders, including chronic pain often associated with cancer and arthritis. Dr. John Thomas is certified in veterinary acupuncture for dogs and cats.
